Try the following fix to be able to answer incoming calls again.
STEP 1
- Go to Settings
- Click on Apps
- Click on Apps again
- Press the three dots in the right corner
- Select “Show system processes“
STEP 2
Find the 3 apps below in the list of apps and perform the same procedure for all of them:
Phone
1) Press Force Stop -> Confirm: Force Stop
2) Press Storage -> Clear Data and Clear Cache
Phone Services
1) Press Force Stop -> Confirm: Force Stop
2) Press Storage -> Clear Data and Clear Cache
Phone/Messaging
1) Press Force Stop -> Confirm: Force Stop
2) Press Storage -> Clear Data and Clear Cache
STEP 3
- Be sure you remember your (sim and device) pin code π
- Reboot your smartphone
- Try to call your phone
Tab on “Show system processes” Find the apps: Phone, Phone Services and Phone/Messaging Go to Storage

Hi !! This worked for me !!!
I have a Huawei Mate 10 Pro with EMUI 9.1.0 and my problem was that I couldn’t answer incoming calls, the call screen wouldn’t show up and the screen was jumping, but deleting the data and cache and the 3 apps worked super fine !! Thank you sooo much !

This worked for me and I am very grateful-I am glad it wasn’t the 10 steps otherwise I would need a Drink. I will tell Huawei that this intermediate step is well worth a try before a system restore.
